AGH i saw that at b&n and drooled at nick hoult's picture. what is that mag even about?
It pretty much just has small interviews with everyone you can think of (for example, besides Saoirse Ronan and Nick Hoult, Tom Felton, Betsey Johnson, Jason Sudeikis and 5 million other people are in there) and a mini editorial of each person. Saoirse and Nick have the longest interviews and editorials because they’re on the covers, of course.
My pet peeves - Flo Chan, when people constantly make up excuses for things, people who talk during movies, when ignorant people won’t stop talking…, talking in general (kidding), when people mess with my things…
15 Top five things I couldn’t live without - 1)My camera 2)My iPod 3)My computer (I probably could live without it…but I sure don’t want to..) 4)I’d say my car, but I practically do live without it cause it breaks every two seconds.. 5)My family.
I just answered 16, but for 3 (what I want to be when I’m older), I want to be either a photographer or a cinematographer when I’m older. I think I’m going to aim for cinematography, though. I like the idea of not having to deal so much with actors, but with light and composition and color. :)
1 My birthplaces/where I live now/where I’d like to live in the future - I was born in a small, slightly ghetto town on the Jersey Shore. I still live in Jersey, just not on the shore anymore. I’d like to live in an old beach house, but not necessarily in New Jersey. Somewhere warmer, I think. I hate the winters here.
4 What I find attractive in members of the opposite sex - Physically, mostly eyes and facial bone structure? Like strong jaws, oh my. Puts effort into how he dresses. Character-wise, it’s attractive when guys read a lot, have a good sense of humor, have the same music taste as me, are polite, and have an appreciation for art and photography. The list goes on and on…
14 Any weird/hidden talents I have - Hmm. Well, I can make my right eye turn to the side (which really isn’t good to do cause the muscle is weak). I can play the piano by ear pretty well…I can’t really think of anything else.
16 Ten random facts about me - 1)I used to play soccer. I was really into it, but then I got lazy. 2)I was a cheerleader for a year in middle school. haha. 3)I looooooove film scores. Dario Marianelli is my favorite composer. 4)I really want to get into cinematography. 5)I eat a bowl of ice cream almost every day. Vanilla with M&M’s on top. Eatin’ healthy ftw. 6)I was named after my parents’ cat, Katie. They didn’t want me to get confused though so they named me Katherine, but no one ever ended up calling me Katie, just Kat. 7)I used to be the pickiest eater in the world, but I’ve gotten better. 8)I once lived above a church, and my brother and I would run around the hallways when no one was around, and it was our playground. 9)I’ve never been on a plane, but that’s changing this Friday when I fly to California. 10)My favorite time period is probably the early 60s.
19 Top ten favorite books - (not in any particular order) 1)The Great Gatsby 2)Jane Eyre 3)Atonement (I cried at the end, predictably) 4)Never Let Me Go 5)The Catcher in the Rye 6)The Perks of Being a Wallflower 7)All the Harry Potter books, but especially the Half-Blood Prince and Deathly Hallows 8)The Grapes of Wrath 9)Looking for Alaska (I cried..so much) 10)Ella Enchanted (for sentimental reasons)
I think that if for some reason I was in the position to create a film, I would remake Ella Enchanted. It was my absolute favorite book when I was little (I think I read it at least 15 times in 3rd grade) and they absolutely butchered the story with that Anne Hathaway movie. I think it could be made into a really beautiful film if it was done right.
Banana Republic and AMC have recently announced the very first limited-edition collection for men and women, inspired by the critically-acclaimed television series “Mad Men,” which returns for a fifth season in early 2012. Designed by Banana Republic in partnership with Emmy Award-winning Costume Designer Janie Bryant, the limited collection is composed of 65 pieces of apparel for men and women and will showcase a modern take on the cool polish and panache of the 1960s era through the Banana Republic lens of affordable luxury and noticeable quality.
The collection will be available at Banana Republic’s North American stores beginning August 11, 2011.
From the photos they look like pretty typical Banana Republic fare, that is, somewhat drab, fitted workwear pieces in shades of gray and navy. Which is disappointing because the women of Mad Men, especially the secretaries, wear such bright pieces with amazing details, especially now that the show is nearing the mid-to-end part of the 60s.
In conclusion, I am disappoint.
It comes out on my birthday, lolz.
But I thought the same thing.
Ugh, whatever. I heard somewhere they were doing the casting call again even though the show isn’t out this summer, but I doubt it. I don’t know if I can go through the energy and heartbreak of it again. Even though I had really elaborate plans for it after last time, because of where we are in the decade.
BArf on life.
Well, I’m excited for this. I can get 50% off at Banana Republic, so I’m good to go.
